The CD's first track, Waiting for the Train, is a playful,
up-tempo number that features Todd's characteristic, highly
infectious hooks with a joyful rhythmic feel.

I'm Losing You
is pure radio-friendly pop, but with its cleverly cadenced
lyrics and clean, twangy country guitar lines, it's by no means
bubble-gum.

Nothing Has Changed, with its searing guitar
and rollicking rhythm, reminiscent of Derrick and the Dominos

Why Does Love Have to be So Sad, which segues into a sublime
coda, is one of the finest works on the album.

We Both Know,
with its plaintive cello accompaniment, is a profoundly gut-
wrenching ballad.

How Long Will the Lilacs Last may very
well be Todd at his best with its melancholy lyrics juxtaposed
with a soaring, triumphant rhythmic and melodic feel.

Yellow River is a hard-edged rock song with tortured
electric lead guitar and a heavy, driving beat.

Behind Those Eyes is a tender, acoustic number,
accompanied by pan flute.

Most Beautiful Girl in the World
reputedly originated as a country song that has now mutated into
a Caribbean feel complete with marimba and miscellaneous "ear-candy"
percussion instruments.

Everybody Needs to Love Someone is a
hook-heavy pop/folk song.

Don't Know Where to Begin is a
powerful song with confessional lyrics, throaty guitar lines and an
almost anthem-like chorus.

You Can Do it Too (If I Can Do it)
tells the story of accidentally reunited former lovers and may be the
finest lyrics on the entire CD.

So Much Love in Store for You
is a simple, yet hauntingly lovely ballad.

The version of Aileen
included on the CD is a stripped-down version that fans of Todd may
not have heard before. Accompanied only by his acoustic guitar,
Aileen takes on a more intimate and personal feel then the longer, fuller
arrangement played live.

If You Can Do it Too, isn't the finest
example of Todd's poetic lyrics, then certainly

Back on the Lam is.
At nearly twelve minutes it's by far the longest, most involved song on
the CD. Back on the Lam features some of Todd's best writing
as well as his highest level of aural craftsmanship.
